A Bit About Me...
A marine biologist mermaid who loves the ocean and teaching children all about it and the importance of protecting it. Mermaid Shannon's best friend is a longnosed butterflyfish called Milo and a Cownose Ray called Juilet.
On her land legs Shannon mainly works as an animal keeper (aquarist) at Sea Life taking care of many species of sea creatures including Ernie the Green sea turtle, Tank the common lobster, James the bamboo shark, Ziggy the zebra shark and many more including pufferfish, blacktip reef sharks, lionfish and lots of Nemos. This incredible experience means mermaid Shannon can teach your little ones so much as she has regularly done talks in schools and to children and can even bring real shark and ray teeth to show your little ones and even real mermaid purses (Shark egg pouches).
Also on her land legs Shannon has over 5 years experience in performance events and childrens party experience as a princess, spending lots of time with Ariel, Elsa, Aurora and many more, singing live, playing games, glitter makeovers, facepainting, acting and much more, so knows how to really bring the magic to your party or event.
Shannon fell in love with the oceans at 8 years old when she started scuba diving, as a professional scuba diver Shannon has over 21 years experience in the water, and is Rescue trained, a First aid instructor and O2 admin instructor so can bring you peace of mind at your party alongside being DBS checked, having completed basic BSL course and having public liabilty insurance.
As a performer Shannon has been a dancer for 15 years, figure skater for 10 years, and actor for 15 years performing in all three discplines multiple times. Credits include Shrek, Whistle down the wind, King and !, Night of The Living Dead and Carousel.
